How to Play Blackjack
You can play blackjack at mFortune Casino for fun or for real money. You can place bets for as little as 10p.
The aim of the game of blackjack is to achieve a hand closer to 21 than the dealer, without going over (bust). Once you have placed your bets, you will be dealt two cards face up and the dealer will be dealt one card face up and one card face down. The player will now need to decide how to play the hand. You can stand to end your turn; hit to receive one more card; double down on your first two cards to double your bet and receive one more card; split your hand into two different bets if you have two identical cards in your first two cards or take insurance if the dealer’s up-card is an Ace.
All cards have a value and these values are added together to result in the total value of your hand. Cards two through ten have their face value; face cards have a value of ten and Aces have a value of one or eleven, depending on the value of the rest of your hand. The highest scoring hand is known as Blackjack and this is a two-card hand consisting of an Ace and a card valued at 10.
Once your turn has ended (you go bust or you stand), the dealer plays his hand and the hands are compared with you being paid out for any wins.
